Students of IES Esteve Terradas i Illa from Cornellà participate in the co-creation of the first global platform applications with access to public infrastructure of cities under the iCity project.

Students of associate degree in developing Web applications and multiplatform applications, of the Institute IES Esteve Terradas i Illa from Cornella participate on February 13 at 16 PM in an initiative that seeks to promote the creation of applications for public services.

Under the umbrella of the iCity project, the cities of Barcelona, Bologna, Genoa and London are working together for a few months for the co-creation of public services and the initiative is being extended to more cities. This platform represents a new boost to the economy of applications and becomes a business opportunity through the use of infrastructure in cities for developers and SMEs. All of them will create, implement, operate and exploit services based on publicly available information and its digital assets.

iCity model is designed so that developers and companies have solved the most technological barriers with a platform that stands out as homogenizing, transparent and innovative. From the commercial point of view, there are some unique circumstances to reach new markets, particularly in Europe. By extension, they will get benefit of various communication activities and dissemination from the project and the cities. The current sensors which are already operational (weather flow of people, sound level , public transport ... ) will be soon available as applications related to parking, levels of pollution and Sound, containers, etc.  A step forward for cities to citizens .
